A little about Debbie….

Managing Director of Avant-Tout Ltd and Co-Founder of Women in Packaging UK Ltd.

With over 25 years in the print and packaging industry, Debbie has experience in a number of senior positions and sectors.

Her working life started at Harlands of Hull, a label producer where she managed accounts using her modern languages degree to deal with both UK and French clients.

After a period at Gilchrist Brothers, working in reprographics and completing an MBA, Debbie then moved to DS Smith and became the General Manager for their Pre-Print business, working to supply blue chip FMCG customers across Europe.

In 2001 she established Avant-Tout (Management Services) Ltd, taking advantage of a niche market to provide key skills within the industry.  This focused on delivering technical capability, account management and project delivery in multi-language environments.

Avant-Tout now supports businesses through a number of services especially in improving communication and networking channels and organising major events.  Debbie is a Consultant Director of EFIA UK Ltd, Director of FTA Europe and represents EFIA on the GPMA.

With a passion for developing broader capabilities in the industry, Debbie has also co-founded Women in Packaging.  This is an initiative to connect, support and recognise female employees across the diverse packaging industry: from packaging concept through to delivery to the consumer.

She is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers and is a keynote speaker on print and packaging issues.
